3 Simple Body Makeup Tips

As brides embrace warmer temperatures, strapless gowns, high-low or short hemlines are the call for the big day. Body makeup artist, Katie Quinn – who has had the pleasure of getting the Angels of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show ready for the catwalk – shares three easy tips to enhance your natural attributes and have you looking fabulous from head to toe.

1. Collarbone contouring: Apply a horizontal line of self-tanner or bronzing powder above and below the collarbone, without allowing the lines to meet in the center. Avoid the collarbone itself, which should actually be highlighted to appear more pronounced.

2. Triceps contouring: Point at the ground with your index finger and look at the back of your arm in a mirror. The muscle you see flexing in the center of the upper arm is the triceps muscle. Add more definition to it by basically tracing  a straight line along the shadow of the muscle with bronzing powder on a makeup brush or sponge – which helps the area look great even when it isn’t flexed!

3. Highlighting: Dust a light highlighting shimmer along the top of the arms, center of the legs, along the collarbone, and cleavage. This gives arms and legs a longer, leaner appearance, makes the collarbone more pronounced and elegant, and the cleavage look higher and firmer!
