Your wedding day is the most important day of your life. As a bride, you should feel beautiful, elegant, sexy, and – dare I say – strong! With off-the-shoulder necklines trending this season, it’s important that you feel comfortable and confident baring your back and shoulders, while accentuating a smaller waist.

Shoulder muscles are some of the most neglected parts of the body. When getting ready for the big day, brides seem to concentrate their time at the gym on abdominal exercises to tone their midsection. While this is certainly beneficial, what you may not realize is that by also paying attention to the shoulder muscles, you could address some of your total body concerns.

I’ll share a little secret: by increasing the size of your upper-body muscle groups, you also minimize the appearance of your waistline. This optical-illusion trick is one of the best-kept secrets to creating the shape you want. So, let’s build some sexy shoulders!

Top 3 Shoulder Exercises
The shoulder is made up of three muscles: the front deltoid, the lateral deltoid, and the rear deltoid. Incorporating the three exercises below into your workout routine will work all three muscles in order to sculpt the perfect shoulders.

1. Push-Up (Front Deltoid)

2. Shoulder Press (Lateral Deltoid)

3. Bent-Over Row (Rear Deltoid)

Depending on your fitness level, I recommend completing four sets of 15 repetitions for each exercise. You can certainly work your way up to this goal. Incorporate this workout into your exercise regimen two days per week leading up to your wedding to start building shoulders you'll want to show off on your special day!
