The art of ballet may have been Gracy Accad's first passion, so it's no surprise that the young designer would have chosen the Alvin Alley Dance Theater to present her spring 2019 collection. Accad showed a few ballerina-inspired looks, such as the organza wrap top paired with a beaded romper, a ballerina top paired with an embroidered crystal paillette skirt, and a pale pink hand-embroidered floral ball skirt – all charmingly sweet.

Accad was also inspired by textiles for spring and had a strong focus on texture and embellishments, case in point, a strapless floral and beaded embroidered ball gown. For the non-traditional bride, Accad showed plenty of options from a moto dress in guipure lace to a lace bustier catsuit with a peplum overlay. While Accad does show promise as a young designer, her collection lacked the refined tailoring one comes to expect from the couture bridal fashion show, which was truly a disservice because up close the fabrics were truly exquisite. See the styles from the designer's latest collection in the slideshow above!
