Less than two months before Rebecca Rothman and Matthew Sarto said “I do” in Malibu the bride hosted an intimate bridal shower at a luxury Beverly Hills hotel that holds sentimental value. “When my grandmother passed, we did her celebration of life at the same hotel in the same room. It may sound weird, but since she couldn’t be there physically, I felt it was so fitting to have my shower in the place that reminded me the most of her!” she reveals.

As 30 ladies excitingly arrived at Rebecca’s prenuptial gathering, they indulged in a delicious menu and dessert table amidst the lively decor. “I love flowers so much. My mom picked out the color theme for the shower and they were so bright and cheerful. The linens, the large balloons, the floral garlands, table arrangements… everything was just so happy, just like me!” the bride tells. Guests were also amused by a variety of games, planned by the bride’s cousin and maid of honor, throughout the event. Among the activities was a questionnaire about the soon-to-be Sartos, which is a fond memory for Rebecca. “I’ll never forget one of the questions [was] my favorite TV show. Nobody would ever guess that one of my favorite programs is Lockup!” she laughs.

Loved ones were also entertained when Rebecca changed into her pink “Bride To Be” glasses and “Bride” sash that she donned upon her sweetheart’s arrival. “My mom had some fun props, and when my husband-to-be arrived, we played dress up,” she muses. While she was overjoyed by the presence of her husband, Rebecca could not end her special event without the other important men in her life. “I loved that at the end of the shower, my husband, my dad, my brother, my soon-to-be father-in-law all showed up,” she remembers. “It was great to get some photos with everyone so they could see what a gorgeous, wonderful event it was!”

While Rebecca’s wedding was a special milestone in her life, her bridal shower was also unforgettable. “My most memorable moment was walking into my bridal shower and realizing this day was finally here,” she tells. “It was all happening, and it was everything I ever dreamed of!”
