Little did Terrance Gilliam know that visiting his mother at a nursing rehabilitation center would lead to him meeting the love of his life, as Danika Fleurantin worked at the facility. “The first time meeting Danika, I was amazed by her beauty and ambition,” smiles Terrance. “From that moment on, I knew she was special.” When the time was right, he asked Danika’s mother for her daughter's hand in marriage before going to several jewelry stores to find a perfect engagement ring that would match his beloved’s personality. He then planned a beautiful proposal on the beach. “How everything unfolded turned out to be the best day of my life,” shares the bride of the special day.

The affianced pair spent the next two years working with Kim Ahonoukoun of KA Mariage to perfect each and every detail of their nuptials. Wanting to play off the spring season in which their wedding would take place, Danika chose her color palette wisely. Soft hints of rose gold and dusty rose tones were chosen as the overarching hues used throughout the ceremony and reception, beautifully complementing the glamour and luxury the pair envisioned for their celebration.

When the time came for their ceremony, 150 of the couple’s closest friends and family members joined them for the service, which took place in front of a waterfall of soft-hued drapery. Danika was gorgeous in a long-sleeve, lace-embellished wedding dress; she carried a lavish bouquet was lavish of blooms in vanilla and pink tones, accented with ice-white bundles of baby’s breath, as she met Terrance on the raised stage for the heartfelt vow exchange.

After Danika and Terrance were pronounced husband and wife, loved ones made their way into the reception space for the luxurious soirée. Soft, lush centerpiece arrangements at each table complemented the blossoms used in the bride’s bouquet. The entire room fit the couple’s vision perfectly; neutral tablescapes showcased warm candlelight and were arranged around an elaborate fountain that provided a unique pièce de résistance of the décor.

As the night went on and guests danced to music played by a DJ, who accepted each and every request from revelers, Danika and Terrance reflected on how special their big day had been. As they danced for the first time as husband and wife, Danika and Terrance knew this was a moment they would never forget. The groom advises future couples planning their nuptials: “Work together on the guest list, visit venues together, divide and conquer, and just relax. It’ll be the best day of your life.”
